Cubic Zirconia (or CZ), the synthesized material, is hard, optically flawless and usually colorless, but may be made in a variety of different colors. Because of durability and close visual likeness to diamond and low cost, CZ jewelry has developed popularly since 1976. Meanwhile CZ has higher density and dispersion than diamond thus it gives lots of sparkles; this stone has lower hardness (8 compared to 10 of diamond). Diamond is excellent to temperature condition while CZ is very poor.
